Board of Education

Our board members place the needs of Closter’s youth first, and it shows in every decision they make. The Closter Board of Education includes nine individuals elected by our community to serve a three-year term. Three board member volunteer positions are up for election each year.

Board Responsibilities

The board is the policy-making body and oversees the curriculum, finances, facilities, and employment of the superintendent and other professional staff. The board has complete and final control over school matters within limits established by state and federal laws and regulations.
