Closter Cares Helpline (201) 256-3405 and Other Hotline Information

The Closter Cares Helpline is available on Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. to assist parents and students with the following:

  • Questions regarding social/emotional issues relating to COVID-19 isolation
  • Help organizing and scheduling a student's virtual learning day
  • Behavior management techniques
  • General wellness questions

The Closter Cares Helpline is staffed on a rotating basis by our psychologist, social workers, school counselors, behaviorists, and nurses. There is a voice mailbox for after hours and to receive messages if multiple calls are received at the same time. A Korean-speaking counselor is available on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. 

If you or a family member are experiencing signs or symptoms of a mental illness and feel you are in crisis, call the Bergen County Crisis hotline at (201) 262-HELP (4357). Crisis counselors are available 24/7 there to guide you through the next steps of getting help.
