Hillside Elementary School will observe School Violence Awareness Week from Monday, October 19, through Friday, October 23. Throughout the week, students will take part in age-appropriate lessons focused on creating a safe, caring, and respectful school community.
Teachers will talk with students about treating one another with kindness and respect, including everyone and being a good friend, and being part of a safe and caring school community.
The week will also feature two special dress-up days:
- Monday, October 19: Wear blue to represent peace, calm, and kindness as we work together to make our school a safe and caring place for everyone.
- Friday, October 23: Wear your favorite hat as we put bullying aside and show that kindness, respect, and inclusion are always in style.
These dress-up days help recognize and promote our commitment to kindness, respect, and safety.
