Congratulations to Hillside Elementary School and Tenakill Middle School on earning Silver Level recognition from the New Jersey Safe Routes to School Program! This award reflects the school’s commitment to helping students walk and bike to school safely.
Over the past year, students and staff at both schools:
- Held a bicycle safety assembly
- Joined the Closter Police Department for Walk/Bike to School Day
- Took part in a safety poster contest
- Added new bike racks outside the school
- Made thank-you cards for our crossing guards
