Basic Steps to Follow on a Virtual Learning Day

1) Go to your school's web page by 10:00 a.m. to check for attendance.

  • Students at Hillside Elementary School should visit the elementary website and complete the Hillside Daily Attendance Check-in each day by 10:00 a.m.
  • Students at Tenakill Middle School should visit the middle school website and complete the Tenakill Daily Attendance Check-in each day by 10:00 a.m.
  • A student must be logged into Google with his/her nvnet.org account to have the correct permissions for taking attendance.  

2) Check for assignments from your teacher.

  • For students in pre-k and kindergarten, the teacher will send assignments to the parent's email address.
  • For students in grades 1–2, sign into Seesaw.
  • For students in grades 3, sign into Google Classroom.
  • For students in grades 4–8, sign into Schoology.

Read the teacher’s message with assignments for the virtual learning day. If you have questions about the assignments, contact your child’s teacher via email.  Hillside Elementary School Staff email addresses are found on the Hillside Teachers and Staff page. 3) Complete the assignments by the due date and then submit them as directed by the teacher.
